Sara leads Liberty’s Asia Pacific Energy portfolio as Head of Energy for the region. Based in Singapore since 2024, Sara oversees underwriting strategy and execution across Asia Pacific for energy risks, including oil & gas, power generation, renewables and mining.
Personal profile
With over 16 years in the insurance industry, Sara joined Liberty in 2015 and has built her career predominantly across operational downstream energy, conventional power generation and renewable energy, and mining risks. She also established Liberty’s renewable energy portfolio in Australia and has extensive experience underwriting both construction and operational risks for solar PV, onshore wind and battery energy storage systems. Prior to her current role, Sara managed the Energy and Power Generation portfolios for Australia and New Zealand.
Sara began her career in 2009 at a Lloyd’s of London syndicate, progressing from the Underwriting Graduate Scheme to an energy underwriting role. She holds a BSc in Business Management from The University of Surrey (UK), an Advanced Diploma in Insurance, and a Certificate in Contract Wording. Sara is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII - UK).
