Personal Profile
Ben is one of the founding team members of Liberty’s Commercial & Specialty business in Asia Pacific and has been part of the team for more than 25 years.
From 2005-2018, Ben was based in Singapore and led Liberty's corporate insurance operations across Asia. During this time, he grew Liberty Asia's Commercial & Specialty operations into a US$100m revenue business with sustained profits, and offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China, plus a specialist team servicing South Korea.
Ben returned to Sydney in 2018 and today has oversight for a broad portfolio: Accident & Health, Crisis Management, Agriculture & Weather, Surety, Liberty Portfolio Solutions, as well as regional Reinsurance. Ben is also responsible for driving Liberty's key initiatives in Technical Training and Development across all product lines, and for supporting the enhanced development of Liberty's Multi-National Program initiative.
Ben has around 30 years' experience in the insurance industry. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Technology.
